Ministry of Women and Child Development all set to commence 7th edition of Poshan Pakhwada

Since its inception in 2018, Poshan Pakhwada has played a pivotal role in raising awareness about nutrition and promoting healthy eating habits across India.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) is all set to kick off the seventh edition of Poshan Pakhwada, a nationwide campaign aimed at tackling malnutrition and promoting healthy living. Taking place from April 8 to 22, 2025, this 15-day event will spotlight four key themes:

The first 1,000 days of life: Emphasizing the vital role of nutrition and care from conception to a child's second birthday, a critical period for optimal growth and development.

Promoting the Poshan Tracker’s beneficiary module: Encouraging the use of the Poshan Tracker to track and improve nutritional outcomes for beneficiaries.

Community-based management of malnutrition: Implementing localized strategies to detect, treat, and prevent malnutrition within communities.

Tackling childhood obesity through lifestyle changes: Addressing the growing issue of childhood obesity by promoting balanced diets and regular physical activity.
